If only you would show a kinder heart
We wouldn’t have to risk being apart
I have given you the best I’ve got
True love doesn’t know no holding back
My gravity’s not meant to pull you back
It’s meant to keep you safe from attack
I won’t be here lie before
Should you move away for more
Forever changing on my own
There’s not an end to my love
Now, I look at the sky
I can see there’s
Two moons rising
You have a choice
You can stay or you can go
See me from above
See me as I am
And if you should decide to beam me up
It’s only fair to know I won ’t come back
I won’t come back
If only you would show a kinder heart
We wouldn’t have to risk being apart
I have given you the best I’ve got
True love doesn’t know no holding back
My gravity’s not meant to pull you back
It’s meant to keep you safe from attack
Now, I look at the sky
I can see there’s
Two moons rising
You have a choice
You can stay or you can go
See me from above
See me as I am

A hyperpop love song in disguise, “Two Moons” conjures up a trip to a planet of external observation and insight.
They say that when the astronauts travelled to space for the first time, the most beautiful thing they could see from up there was Earth itself. A matter of perspective? Definitely a field of exploration for Soannefair.
Have you ever dreamt of living on a different planet? Sometimes time apart from our loved ones feels like life in an unknown territory. In “Two Moons” Soannefair wakes up on a new, earth-like planet, only to realise so when witnessing two moons rising in the sky. It feels different, is it different? How did she get there?
How do we get to the places/planets we arrive at? To a vast degree, our journey is a matter of choice. Gravity can only hold us tied to a place for so long. And even gravity itself can be self-imposed. There are always reasons, there are sometimes excuses too.
Following up her single “Real” an exploration of the digital in relation to real life, with “Two Moons” Soannefair unravels her next expedition to investigate the relation between the human species and its natural habitat, the earth, which is the main theme running through her upcoming album “Herero”. Perhaps when humans ultimately do travel to a different planet they will have the opportunity to reassess their relationship with their home planet. Yet again, don’t we already have that chance right now?
Nodding knowingly to artists like SOPHIE, umru and Hyd, Athenian producer SOANNEFAIR takes off to a planet of her own, orbited by “Two Moons”. What does this terra incognita keep in store? All and nothing is revealed in this hyperpop ballad for sentimental souls.
